Wish I could. I'm in the Dells with the family. Nowhere to fly around here and I got the stink eye from my beautiful wife ( shes right behind me).

I will probably get there late morning and stay until late afternoon (maybe 3:30 or 4) as long as the wind is good.

Hey, great festival! There was a good turnout, and decent wind for a good portion of the day (even if it was a bit variable - normal for the midwest). Nice size big kite field, and nice size sport kite field.

We had a bunch of the big kite guys there including Al Sparling, Daryl and a bunch of other guys whose names I forget (sorry), feel free to update. There were also a pretty good bunch of sport kite flyers in attendance, including quite a few from IKE. In addition to me and my son David, I saw or met illescasd (David), Flyaway (TJ), Mikey & Shari D (suprise!), Paul K, Kathy, Devin and his friend ?? (sorry forgot the name), and we had a special guest from NJ - Rich Comras - who even made the newspaper. Dave Z & Chicago Kite was also there in force - and I'm sure I'm missing several other names who were there with their Chicago Kite shirts on Sunday afternoon (sorry I'm forgetting everyone's name).

Naperthrill was a lot of fun. Brisa and I had a blast. I also learned my lesson for the final time...

I will bring all my kites w/me.
I will bring all my kites w/me.
I will bring all my kites w/me.

May the wind gods favor you,

Hey, at least for us "bring all my kites with me" means they'll fit in a few bags (at least for me). The big kite guys have a completely different problem with "bring all my kites with me" - they need a truck!

In my case, it was . . .

bring all my line sets
bring all my line sets
bring all my line sets

Because the length Rich was flying when I got there . . . . was one that I left at home. So I ended up flying 120s to match a set he had (and he had to switch) . . . and the kite was tiny (I've been flying a lot on 40s and 75s lately).
