Decatur Kite Fest: IKE in the news and on TV

Postby Mike » Mon, May 07 2012, 08:09 AM

180GO! was on the news last night.
Find the video marked "kite day" on this page:

And here's some coverage in the newspaper too. It has a nice photo of Paul with his new Crown Bol:

Here's the photos from the newspaper, so that we have them stored on our site.

Cool beans, Mike! Did you mean that if everyone in the world had a revolution there would be eternal peace?

Yup! 'cause we'd all be standing shoulder to shoulder, no language barrier, just flying and laughing.

Neato . . . BTW, it's off the first list, you have to scroll to get to it (so I don't know how long it will be there on the TV station's video page).

World peace? No language barriers? But . . . I have a hard enough time following the leader, and I speak english . . .

Actually, really glad to see you guys out there having a good day. Wished you had more folks come out to the festival - it looked a bit light on attendance. At least you had a good time flying. Up here in northern Illinois, we had a pretty soggy day so there was no kite flying for me all weekend . . .

Definitely "a bit light" on attendance! But we had a great time, and it doesn't take much of an audience for us to want to show off.

Great interview, Dad!
