I don't have info yet from the organizer, but we stayed at the Microtel last year.

I'm out of Mediums, I have one small left. I'll bring it with Mikey's jacket to Clear Lake.

In case anyone else wants a shirt, I still have several shirts size large and up.

So I have been wondering something. If the weather continues to be this pleasant, will we be flying off a pontoon boat or something? Or should I go buy some waders?

They supply those inflatable rings with the squeaky rubber ducky heads, so no waders are needed.
Either that or they might move it to a park.

I just heard from Larry Day: they have 10" of ice right now.

Thank goodness!
I thought we might be in for a swim last year and that was enough for me!

I happened to be flying home yesterday and my flight flew just south of Clear Lake. Looked frozen from 37,000 feet (and IIRC it looked pretty free of snow, so bring your crampons).

Thanks for the aerial survey, but be careful flying around Clear Lake!

I was on a commercial flight, so I wasn't worried. However, I was talking to a friend of mine (who happens to be a private pilot) about the CL festival and that was the first thing he brought up - partly because he flies a single engine Bonanza v-tail just like that flight. I don't think he wants to fly to CL for the day . . . and I've been away from home a lot for work so I will probably miss this one. :(

Wish I could be there but wife working and kids activities will keep me busy all weekend. Looks like a great event from that writeup. Go 180go!

Shari and I just arrived. Looking forward to flying tomorrow. Been too long. Might not be so excited after a couple hours in the cold tomorrow. Gonna head out and and check out the town.

We had a fun day out on the lake. Winds were a little light - but we didn't get cold with all that work to keep the kites up!

a quick shot of 180GO! on the news:
http://www.kimt.com/content/localnews/s ... zF4SA.cspx

According to the weather service, the wind varied between calm and 3 mph while we were flying. The clip will show us gaining ground in a hurry! :)

My favorite part of the day,
Quoting the "Kite man" announcer.

" Allow me to introduce 180 GO! ...... Mike, Mike Mike and Leanne?

So everyone say hello to our new team mate and friend, Leanne Kory.
