Max photos per post used to be six if I recall.

Bill

It's still 6 for now.

Jeepster wrote:Hey Mike, thanks for the update to the forum ... lots of work I know. Here's a few of thoughts:

1) I'm on a kite forum that does auto-resizing of photos ... since it's much easier for folks to post photos it seems like there are more posted! Which is a good thing.

2) Hosting your photos on another website and then referencing them from IKE is not a good long term practice. Host sites change, you might drop ownership, links are lost, etc. When that happens, all your work goes up in smoke and folks trying to see what you've done see a blank icon instead.

3) Picky I know ... bring the "Unread Posts" icon to the forefront. When I open up the forum, that's where my interest is ... don't make me dig for the icon.

#1: hopefully you won't have to resize too often with the larger photo allowance
#3: After you've logged in, you can click on "Find unread posts" in the upper right, next to your name.

I've increased the size of the fonts and line spacing on the forum index pages. And divided the rows a little differently. I think it's a little clearer and easier to read.
Turned more things red, and dropped some more ugly icons...

Let me know if there's anything else we need.

OK, I think most of the changes have been done to the board.
I may change some more of the blue stuff to red some day, but most of look of the board and all the features are there.
The version that shows up in your cell phone browser should look pretty good too.

The board has been quiet, so I hope it's working for y'all and that the silence isn't because you're having trouble!

Working fine, Mikeman. Love the avatar, BTW!

My regular conduit to the forum wasn't working, Forum Runner. I figured it was just a temporary glitch, but it never came back. I see there was a lot more done...
Keep calm, and park it in the pocket

Yup! Until Forum Runner upgrades, you'll have to use Tapatalk. The new forum is "responsive" (in designer-speak) and works well in a mobile browser too.

I can try a mobile browser, but I've tried and given up on Tapatalk several times. Bad interface, bad navigation, formatting...just doesn't work for me. The unfortunate thing is that even though Forum Runner is simpler and easier to use, it does not appear to have active development going on.

I only spent a little time with Tapatalk, and on iOS not Android, but the current verstion looked pretty good to me.
