Second Club Fly

Postby Mike » Fri, Nov 03 2006, 10:08 PM

So when are doing the next fly?
If anyone is available on short notice, this Sunday looks good:
Sunday...Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. South winds around 10 mph.
We wont be having weather that warm for long folks, so let's make the best of it while we can.

I'm on at church again this week so Sunday is fairly shot. I am off next Sunday (the 12th) though...

Unfortunately, the 12th doesn't work for me. The 11th would though.

Ahhh, the old days,
I couldn't afford a modem for my Mac, so I did dial-up at 110 baud by connecting an old Apple ][ with a modem up to my Macintosh and writing a program on the apple ][ to act as a modem for the Mac. This was before WWW. There was a computer in Hawaii that you could connect to that had lots of stuff about kites though.

Forecast for Bourbonnais:
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.
Forecast for Champaign:
Sunday...Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.
Forecast for Calumet City:
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Both sounds good to me! What an original idea!
Where do you want to meet Ken? I'm willing to drive, I just need to back here by 6.

The winds look the best out by you Mike. Maybe you could make some calls to the guys you had talked about before and see if they can make it too. Or if you want to drive out my way, it dont matter.

Chris, Denny, can you make it tomorrow? Do you have a preference where to fly?

Ken, I don't know if you want to drive all the way down here for a 2 man fly. And miss the Bears!
But if so, I'll drive up on Friday to even things out.
