Flew my 135-gram home-made today in wind I would estimate at 0.5 to 1.0 mph that was quite smooth. Finally was able to get the wind I needed to make the bridle adjustments that it needed and test the results. One more tweak to make at home and it'll be good to go. I forgot to bring the camera again, but here's a photo from when I first built it. Since then it has accumulated some wear and tear and a belt-loop type leading edge to serve the same purpose as the leading edge mesh on a Rev.
Will post photo of finished kite after the next time I fly it.

If I recall, I got a chance to fly this kite at the IKE retreat last year. Even in my unskilled hands it was quite the low wind flyer.

Glad you got out to fly.
