Dennis, what a great day! And welcome to the dark side! :revspin:
(I don't why, but that's what it's called when you start flying revs)

Second flight costs about $308 plus tax!
It was one of those days you just didn't expect much, but turned out a fantastic flying day.

Glad you guys had a good time. Sorry I couldn't make it. We did a little flying at a local park Sunday evening and met a local kite maker who we didn't even know lives in town.

To what kind of flying line was that mesh delta tied? It looks like some kind of big rope!

Those IKE Rev. flyers are the people your mama warned you about!

Cool. I'm a PP-ASEL, about 200 hours in single-engine Cessnas, mostly a C-177B Cardinal.

I had a similar experience. At the IKE retreat last year, I kept walking forward every time I sensed an unintentional "landing" out of fear of damaging Mike's Rev.

Welcome to the "dark side" from a fellow Hoosier. I managed to resist until I won a Kite Connection gift certificate in the KiteLife monthly drawing in December of 2012. That prize enabled me to buy a custom 1.5 3-wrap RTF for only $35 out-of-pocket, removing the last barrier to the new addiction!

The "rope" is 5/16" rated at 1350#. This is my lifting device for the line laundry like the 30' Nemo and the 27' Bol. Normally flies on 500# line but when the winds are over 15 I use the big stuff.

Jim, it's funny to see those shots of the rev next to the big delta. Was totally different when I hauled her down from 500 ' and it dwarfs the rev! Glad the switch in the brain went off, I was starting to question my cognitive motor skill and thinking about checking into a home! It is defiantly a 2 step up from a two line, that's why you rev fliers are like gods to us SLK and 2 line guys! You have been graced with superior flying skills and motor functions that make your flying awe inspiring. I know I will own a rev soon, but I don't plan to give up the big stuff, still like to fill the sky with art.

How big is that mesh delta?? I hadn't thought of a mesh kite as a lifter.

Ps - I have a hard time doing anything with a dual besides flying circles. Quads are just different inputs . . . You'll adjust.

thought you'd like that pic :) I couldnt believe how big it was and i think the people at the beach really liked it!

I"m sure we could have found you a HOME near the beach. I knew it was only a matter of time before it CLICKED.

Many people give up the Duals, but most still fly the sky art. I'm kinda different... no sky art for me(i dont' have a place to fly it around here) and I am DETERMINED to fly dual freestyle! i've only had my rev out a couple times in the last 2 months. I sure made up for it yesterday though :)

Glad you had a good time! I sure did!

:-) Trying putting your hands together a little sooner, and you'll fly half a circle! ;-)

It's 20' x 10' willy Koch mesh delta. Up in the air people always notice the colors, but they never believe the size till I pull it down. When they hear that's a 30' tube tail, the get the idea.

Cool. I have a 19 ft premier delta that's similar in size, but it's not a mesh and pulls like a truck. Don't have much in the way of laundry though.
