Looks like the wind will be decent on Saturday, 11/5, and I have a newly repaired Wrangler that is itching for a road trip.

Anybody want to get together in Kankakee that day?

We will probably be available. I have to make sure with Shari. I am game if so.

I'm tentative. Will have to get clearance from the wife . . . .

Wife is semi-OK with Saturday. We just have lots going on, so it's not the best day for me because she'll get stuck with a bunch of errands and driving the kids around. I can probably get away with it though . . . .

Any chance of flying Sunday instead? or . . . . maybe . . . . both days

Looks like I have clearance for Saturday, and you're right - the weather looks great (and vented). I may have to mow the lawn first, or late in the day (lots of leaves to clean up) . . . what time are you guys thinking?

I would prefer to wait until 10 or 11. It is gonna be pretty cold in the morning with the wind. I can give you both my number so you can call when you get close. I am 3 minutes away. And that is if I hit the traffic light.

I'm going to be there early-ish on Saturday. :) I want to get on the road early, which will get me there sometime between 8:00 and 10:00 (depends on how lazy I am), and I'm planning on staying until 2:00 or 3:00.

:D

See you guys there!!

I will aim for 10, I don't feel like getting out earlier than that after the week I had. Looking forward to it.

AWESOME DAY everybody! David and I had a great time, and the flying could not have been better for November! Plenty of wind, sunshine, and even reasonably warm. Good to see Mikey, Shari, Wendy (thanks for posting the quick fly), and Paul wins the award for the longest drive today.

I concur. Great weather, wind, and friends. Highlight of my day was watching David fly the Shockwave in a pretty brisk breeze. The kite was flying him as much as he was flying it. I give him an a+, for flying it well and for hanging on. It was a good day. And 65 on November 5, couldn't ask for more.

That's (left to right) Wendy, my Shockwave, Mikey, Shari, David (on Mikey's extra vent) and me on the end.

Nice! Sorry I missed it. Where's Paul's kite? Or was he flying a Rev?

Paul flew several dual lines. He had a really nice Hawaiian with a huge tail - it was georgious to watch. Unfortunately, I think he had packed up by the time I took the pictures (it was relatively late in the day when we lined up the revs).
