Looks like a good park on google satellite pictures. I'll have to try it some time. Yard work is going slowly . . . .

Awesome, look forward to seeing you guys there. It sounds like (for once) I won't be the last guy showing up . . .

It's going to be too cold for me, I'm sorry to say. I have a cold, so I need to take it easy or I'll be sick for the holiday next week.

Have fun, though.

and . . . i am running late. Be there soon.

And there is a bears game so northerly is bad to get to. I got out there by telling them I was going to the park then I talked to a security guard. They will be checking for parking passes and it is $46 for a parking pass so . . . .

LOCATION CHANGE TO THE FIELD AT MONTROSE HARBOR!!

Just wanted to update everyone. David and I met up with Mike, Rose, and illescasd (David) at Montrose. It was pretty darn cold, but we had a good time flying quads and illescasd flew a big heart SLK and his foil. It looked like there was a lot of pull to that kite. He had a couple friends show up, and I think they had a good time flying the foil. Pretty late in the day, another couple showed up with their EXP. They said they were friends with the Stephensons and flew with us at Davenport. I gave them some IKE cards, so hopefully we'll have some new members soon.

Let's hope for warmer windy weather later in the week.

Glad you had fun.

I drove down and got caught in the mess around Soldier Field. Then headed up to Montrose. By the time I got up there, I had a migraine that was making me nauseous, and I just left.

It was nice to see everyone again,

Even though it was border line chilly/cold today the wind gods were with us. I had some friends meet me and we all enjoyed ourselves silly big time. I really didn't even bother putting anything else up except my heart, and not on my sleeve (Ha!).

Breeze on,
David

Sorry we missed you. Hope you can make another day. Maybe when Rich gets here (although I may not get free much over the T-day weekend)

Thanks for sharing. As everyone can see from the picture, it was a pretty raw weather day. Of course, in about three months we'll be wearing shorts and t-shirts if it hits 46F again.

Steve and his son were flying in and out of the water in the harbor. I hope some good photos came out of that. It looked great with the skyline in the background.

It was all video, so it's going to need some editing first before I can put it on Youtube. Once I get it edited, I'll post it. David has about five other (non kite related) videos he wants me to edit first . . . . and I'm not much of a video editor, so it goes very slowly.

Hmm . . . . Friday? Saturday? Sunday? I might even fly on . . . . Thursday! this week (if the wife lets me out). The weather looks good. The idea would be to get downtown and get some good video (this time with sunshine). I'd probably have to be home by one or two PM. Actually, at this point it's mostly just wishful thinking that I'll get out there. We'll see how the long weekend shapes up.

Where is this taken from?
I would gladly go meet anyone who would want to go there and fly with me!!!!!

I just looked up the location of Montrose and how lucky for me.........it is literally 3 miles from my friend's house with whom I'll be staying!!!!!!!!!!

Who Wants to Meet Up???????????????????????
