A ton of fun. The Chinese lantern balloons were definitely cool.

THANK YOU, JIM

I edited together some footage of the team flying in Quad Cities. Thanks for grabbing the camera, Jynx!

Still love those kites!

Great stuff! Thanks for putting that together  I'd personally like to see even more footage of the pilots :) While we all know what revs can do in formation, some of us remote folks don't get to fly with others much. It's very interesting to me to see how everyone dances around each other during the routine. And if I ever get some 120 foot lines and make it to an event, I'll be better prepared to join in, knowing a bit about what to expect. Just something to think about! And if you've got super-powers in the video editing department, a view of the pilots with a picture-in-picture, in a less important corner, of what the kites are doing would be top-notch!

Editing is the easy part...it's getting 2 cameras to record the angles simultaneously that we haven't done...

Chris, come to the retreat! I have extra 120' line-sets and you'll get plenty of time to fly and learn about team stuff.

You're right, I should have thought of that point. Asking people to film instead of join in the fun, probably not a popular choice!

Mike: I have been looking forward to the retreat in a big way, but then something unavoidable came up for Saturday. I haven't given up on trying to make the drive on Sunday, but I'm still a question mark at this point. :(

Elix -

There are a few videos out there on youtube and revkites that show both the kite and the hands. Not always at the same time, mind you, but there are a few.

Mike & Jeff -

If I can make it to the retreat (pretty unlikely due to work :( ), I'll bring my daughter's camera and volunteer to shoot some video. If someone can use another camera at the same time, we can probably get the footage we need for picture-in-picture (assuming someone else can do the editing).

Does anyone have a good copy of the IKE group picture we took near the end of the fest?

I'd like to submit it with my article for the AKA magazine.

Jynx has a group shot on Facebook. Also a picture of us flying, which I didn't have...since I was flying.

But Jeff, it's not an IKE Group photo ... it's a photo of some IKE members. If you're going to publish it in AKA magazine, you'll have to Photoshop in the missing members. Or, label it appropriately!!!

Cheers,
Tom

Sure it's an IKE group photo. I'm sorry everyone's not in it, but that's all we have.
