Kite Building using a Unique Paper Technique
Ron Petralito Wednesday 9:00 – 10:15
This technique of kite building utilizes readily available paper or plastic sheeting which is connected using a variety of adhesive tapes employing a system that I call the “KOI” method of detailing. Using this method, unlike other taping systems, you will be able to produce kites with little or no tape showing on the face of the sail. My emphasis is on the construction of unique or conventional kite designs using techniques that are quick and easy to master and materials that are all locally obtainable. Since I maintain a willingness to cut off, add to or otherwise alter my original designs I have developed this unique system which lends itself to all these possibilities.
