Go fly a kite! And that’s just what children, moms, and dads will be doing at the Indian Trails Public Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Rd. Wheeling, on Sunday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kite Flying Day will give families a chance to make and fly their own kites using kits that will be provided at no charge as long as supplies last. Pros from Chicago Kite will be on-site to answer any questions and demonstrate stunt kites throughout the day.
Kite Flying Day is being sponsored by Chicago Kite, 5445 N Harlem in Chicago, the Wheeling Park District, and the Indian Trails Public Library. The event is planned as a “drop-in” event with kite flying and kite making activities continuing during the entire event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Chicago Kite has been selling and demonstrating all types of kites for the past 17 years. In addition to assisting in the assembly and flying of kites at this event, they will be participating in other kite events throughout the Midwest this summer.
Kite Flying Day will be held at Indian Trials Public Library on Sunday, June, 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
