Valparaiso Fest, May 14
Anyone planning on attending Valparaiso on the 14?? We are planning on going, and I am trying to talk a few coworkers into going. They live fairly close.

I'm possible, but might be a long shot. My wife is out of town on the 14th . . . so it will probably depend on the sports schedules for the kids. I'm guessing there will be softball and soccer games . . .
Edit - and I just found out about a birthday party my son has to attend in the morning and boys soccer / girls softball in the afternoon. Wish I could be there but it looks like I miss this one
. See y'all at Milwaukee
(I hope).

Milwaukee isn't on my schedule for this year--we'll have to have more club flys.

I guess everyone is still recovering from the fantastic day we had. Winds were a steady 8 mph all day and not a cloud in the sky! Hundreds of viewers watching 180GO! perform flawless routines!! Wow, what a day ... well, in our dreams that's what happened.
Actually the day started out with a slight drizzle and at about lunch time progressed until it became a full downpour at about 2:00pm. No one I talked to could remember seeing the sun in that corner of Indiana for the last two weeks. The wind was a little hesitant to come out and play ... kind of a tease for most of the day until the rain storm hit and it picked up. We kept the team kites in the air and flying routines for the entire time though. Mike did a great job calling as six of us kept rotating through the line. And, I do mean rotating. Pick up a black kite and you were an even number on the line ... pick up a red kite and you were an odd number on the line ... sometimes.
All-in-all it was terrible weather for a festival, but still, a fun day to get together with friends and fly kites.
Next year has got to be better ... can't have three years of poor weather in a row!!!!!!
Cheers,
Tom

What Tom said.................
This fest convinced me to stop at Cabelas and buy a waterproof pair of shoes. My toes are still a little wrinkled. But I am prepared for next time. Fun and frustrating all wrapped into one.---Mikey
