Overall a good festival.
Winds were light on Saturday and were much better Sunday.

180GO! kept busy doing demos, Rok battles and running of the bols.

Ken's Bear's banners were the only landmark for the entry point of the demo field and kept being called out by the announcer. Sunday a Packers banner appeared and the gauntlet was thrown for a bol race. The Bears (represented by Ken) made a valiant effort but did not beat the Packers due to holding by a fan.

The Holiday Inn became a true kiting hotel with an atrium big enough to fly big Mike's indoor Rev. Saturday night Chris, Lauren, and Zach Gordon proved that kids can learn way faster than adults.

I won my first Rok battle (I should have retired undefeated) with Mike's pirate Rok.

On Sunday, the candy drop accidentally drifted and dropped in the learner's field. 100+ kids charged through two sets of flags without even blinking and almost trampled two kites on the ground plus several spectators. Lesson: Never get between kids and free candy.

I am so glad that someone took video of THAT one rather and another... or 2...lol

Ken did a great job calling both days... wish we could have flown a few more times, but it was really an excellent time... nonstop...

if I remember right, the news said 16,000 people on Sat?

btw, the single funniest moment of the festival was the woman who left her tailgate open on her jeep in the parking lot.

Ann talked about it a few mins later by saying it was a testament to the people of Two Rivers that nothing was gone from the jeep while it was open. If it were Chicago, the jeep would be gone...

still chuckling when ever I think about it...

Yes I lost to the Packers in the Bol race, BUT there should have been a YELLOW FLAG thrown do to HOLDING by Chow. I had plan on THROWING the race at the end by falling just short if I would have been beating Dale Bowdin (packer fan). As seen in photo I did almost catch up and win anyway.

Thanks for the compliments Rose and EVERYONE from the weekend!!! I dont know who taped and/or posted the video of that demo, but THANK YOU!!! That one ended up being the BEST of the weekend!!!! :mrblue: Not that the rest were bad but we NAILED IT on that one perfectly!!! Mike you will be proud when you hear the feed pack from everyone there.

It was a busy weekend with all that we did for and around the fest. We did three to four demos each day. The winds were REALLY light at times but not that bad that we were struggling. TONS of walking around. I wish the winds would have been just a little higher maybe 3 to 5 mph more. Then we would have been able to do more of the fancy stuff but none the less it was all good!!! Last year I was a NERVOUS WRECK under command. Not this year, smooth as glass! 8)

Also as it has been said before "If you didnt make it out there this year, It is a MUST do for next year!!!"

There was another one recorded, but it had a mishap or two, so I didn't link that one.

That was hilarious. I did throw a flag on him, just to make sure he knew that one had to come back. 8)

Also forgot to mention we were flying on 75ft lines not 120's. The lake has risen and took away some of the area to fly in.

The 75 foot lines really helped for light wind flying. Something to consider next time.

Hey Ken do you think you'll ever get all that sand out of your car? Mine's a mess.

It took me until last week to get the sand out of my car from the previous year..lol

For really light wind flying, I have a set of 40' lines that are great..
