As it turns out, I'll be in Arizona all week next week, returning to the Milwaukee airport at about Midnight on Friday. I might just grab a room for when I get back...

I'm hoping to see you knuckle heads in Dekalb. What's a festival without the likes of the IKE's.

The Comfort Inn is going to be the official hotel for the festival this year too.
So, all the kiters will be there.
Oh, Ann and Anne: Adrian will be there, so make sure you have fresh batteries in your camera

With ALL at the same hotel, it maybe a good thing there is NO pool there.
For very few would have gotten much sleep.
But there is ALWAYS the hotel lobby.

Anyone bringing a sun/rain shelter?
Saturday looks kinda iffy.

Let's hope the forecast is wrong, but if there's no thunder, the demos will continue in the rain--bring rain gear!
Re: 2008: Mots Kite Festival, Milwaukee - September 13-14,
Paul, Ken and I plan on hitting Veterans Park today (Friday) around 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
If you're in the area, join us.
You may want to give me a call on my cell around 3:00 to see if we'll actually make it--you never know how traffic in Chicago and Milwaukee will be.

My shelter is in the trunk of my car which is in the parking garage at the Milwaukee airport. I'm supposed to arrive in Milwaukee tonight at 11:50 pm...weather permitting. I'm at the same hotel with everyone.

Cool. They were originally gonna fly out of Houston, but Ike (not IKE) changed their plans.
iQuad will probably leave at 6am tomorrow for the field. The TV news wants to film at 6:45am.
Ken, Chrissy, Paul and the rest of the gang will head out later.
(Brian--very sorry we missed you out at the field today. Turns out we were too hungry to hang out long
