A bit more info on the event, I recommended a area of about 200' by 200' be roped off for the stunt kiters at the north end on the field as the baseball diamonds are reserved for a ball game. That should be plenty of room to do demo's. I'll be flying the big kites in the soccer fields.

i think i may have to forgo this one this year unless things change. Marla has been having serious problems with her neck lately... and may even have to have surgery... so i don't think i'll be going to very many far-off events unless things change; i don't want her to have to do the birds much. Please count me in for Grand Haven with you guys, though, for sure... and i'll be going, of course, to the local and the suburban events a lot too.

Knoted, Infl8able will be disappointed, she was looking forward to chatting with your wife some more! Please let her know we're all concerned and wish her the best!

We'll be there at KOLS this year too, it's always a good place for the first sunburn of the year! As some of you know, we're in the process of adopting a boy (15 months) and it will be his first kite festival. I've already been informed that he isn't going to be participating in Drafty's paratrooper brigade...I wasn't completely serious about that!

Maybe I'll get the 3 line kite (Wazo) in the air finally!

Thanks about Marla, all of you! She's had the problems with her neck for a few years now... it's nothing new, but lately the cold weather has been rough on her; and she has a bad case of the flu. She'll, i'm sure, be coming to a number of the more local events and even events up north more (unless the neck surgery definitely takes place).

i'm really looking forward to this winter  finally ending! ... thank goodness it's beginning to go!

Hey Frodos, we could let all the kids stay with you!

There'd only be about 6!
