Geez Dave,
members of the club have told you we need fields roped off. That's standard at any festival for the safety of spectators as well as our expensive kites. Music is also standard, and we can't do demos without music!

Some info on past years for Oswego. At the old field, the park district always roped off the areas. Stunt kiters were at the North end of the field, kind of in the center. The public was on the west side of the field and the large single line kites would fly at the south end of the field or east side of the field. They also provided a booming sound system that sounded really good. And they even provided lunch for the invited flyers. They really went out of there way to please the kiters. I know things change but perhaps all we need to do is ASK! And we could even park on the grass.

Hey Dave,
I just realized that Saturday night is Passover. Are you staying for the night fly? If you need to rush off for a Seder, let us know and we'll get you packed up in a jiffy. Or are we having Matzo pizza? :-D

I didn't know that until I sent an email to a friend inviting them to come, and they said they couldn't because of Passover.

I like the idea of a Matzo pizza actually...

Heading out to MO in a couple of minutes, so I obviously will miss this fly.

Have fun!

6:18 am- raining cats and dogs right now, rain showers on and off all day, but at least no mention of T-storms.

9 AM and we are here in Oswego. No major rain and things look like they're trying to clear up. The winds are good, noone here yet, hope to see everyone here today. Lets make a show of red shirts.

Well, it didn't rain today.
Winds were a bit light, but flyable most of the day.
It turned out to be a club fly after all. No field markings to speak of, nor a sound system. Not even any food available. Well, actually Bob brought donuts for everyone, which was nice. I should say no lunch was available, even for purchase.

Those of us there had a good time though, and we got to fly a 7 man rev team.

180GO! will be flying in Decatur next weekend. I'll be in Japan, so some of you club members go out there and support the team.
I'll catch up with everyone at Grinnell.
