I saw the boat, and I saw them leave and then come back in the van. I assume they got it, but I didn't hear for sure.

As fare as Mike H kites we spent an hour out there couldnt find it. We are going to have to send in a diver the water is to merky and 20 feet deep.

You should have been a man and just dived in, or let them push you in to get it.

It was GREAT to have met so many of you! I think you might have converted my wife as she is asking about when the next festival is.
Thanks to Al and Darrel for letting me help with the big stuff and Mike & Mike for the Rev tips. Ill get a couple pictures posted once I get them off the camera.

Big Thanks to everyone this was an incredible experience
and my daughter is very disappointed she had to go shopping with mom and didnt make it back to the "festival of fools" as she called it. (she has been watching the hunchback of notre dam) ;)

what’s is the next big fly?

There are several festivals in the midwest coming up...you can see those if you follow the Festivals link at the top of the page. But probably the next festival that will have IKE attendance is Perry Farms in mid-August. During the slow time, we will schedule at least a couple club flys on our own though, so keep your eye on the forum...

Hard to do with so much moving.

That was a nice piece of video. It'll be good publicity for the festival.

I know, IKE and 180GO! are missing, but it's still good publicity for the festival.
I saw Dave talking to the camera but he didn't invite us over so I didn't intrude. Dave's interview was good and anything that helps the festival will help us in the long run.

Al's interview was good too. I like his description about the size of the kite.

Next year we'll make sure that the club and 180GO! are featured.

Yes, the club and the team, but even just a shot of any quad kite flying.. I saw them taking video...they had the footage. I saw them shooting me, but I guess I'm not very photogenic.

I'm pretty sure the problem wasn't photogenics. lol... the problem is in knowledge, or lack of it. I know that when I have a load of footage to draw from, I have to make some choices on what to include. I usually have to go back to the source to understand what it's all about. They probably should have taken a few mins to talk to some more people...

Maybe a publicity package on kiting and what it's all about would help the local news people. This is really all new to them.
