We meet this guy with a super cool quadcopter at the Indiana Dunes last week:

That is by far the most interesting kite video I have seen! Oh, boy, do I need a new toy?

I have to say that is the most unique POV video I've seen of kites.

Oh, I want one so bad...

B&H sells the copter with a basic Go Pro mount for $479.

The auto stabilizing gimbal, however, is more than the copter, at $699! (Also need a $69 copter upgrade kit)

And then of course, there is the camera itself...

It does come with one flight battery, but it would be good to have several...

You can also skip the gimbal and post process the video to smooth it out. It's not as good, but not bad.

Yeah, that wouldn't be too bad. The thing it does though is dampen the movement when the copter initiates a move. When it is stationary and then accelerates, you get a dip in the view before it levels off. Still, not bad, and I could live with that.

One of the locals in the kite club here has a quadcopter/Go Pro rig, but it's a different copter. I'm looking forward to checking that one out...

And, if you thought the guy taking the copter over the lake was crazy...

Both those videos are pretty cool. The Niagara one just needed the addition of some revs :)

One thing I almost posted but didn't...there is a Dutch artist that had a cat. The cat died. He had it preserved with taxidermy. He turned the cat into a quadcopter.

Yes, you read that right.

A dead cat quad copter.

You can find it pretty easily on YouTube. It's one of the most bizarre things I've seen.

Check this one out. TED talk focusing on the athletic power of quadcopters. They do some astounding things with them.
