Attach Camera To Kite

Postby rogersparkflyer » Mon, Jun 11 2007, 01:24 PM

Hello guys,
I need some adivse. I have an old sony camera that I would like to attach to a delta kite that I have.
Anyone have any ideas on how to attach it? I was thinking of attaching it to the line instead of the kite. But how would I keep it from spinning in the wind? Its an old camera so if it crashes to the ground it wont be a big deal. Thanks for the help

:thanks:

One place to start for info:
http://arch.ced.berkeley.edu/kap/

Most folks attach it to the line, using something called a "picovet" suspension system.
A couple members of the club have done some KAP (kite aerial photography), maybe they will chime in with more info.
I think Issac Trejo has done some.

I use kits sold by Brooks Leffler, an expert kite aerial photographer, ex-editor of the Aerial Eye (a KAP news
letter) and a pioneer in design of KAP rigs. And a really nice guy.
