Sweet, I am guessing We will be there around 10-10:30. I also have a bunch of extra spars, and a vented kite you could use for that matter. Going to be a nice relaxing weekend on the beach!

Hello everyone,

As much as Adventure Dog and I were ready to roll, we won't be able to make it. We have to be responsible and attend to family matters. We're really bitter about this, as we looked forward to flying and catching up with everyone. Take some great pictures, and enjoy,

David & Adventure Dog,

I really appreciate all the offers.... thanks guys! The story is like this... my mom wanted to see the new rev... i swapped out for the race frame and put it in the clear bag.... she said she would hold it and she went to the car with my 3yo... i thought she put it IN the car.... she put it ON the car.... yep.... i will swing by the field tomorrow, but no telling where it fell off.
A word of warning... she will be coming with us on sunday! Dont give her your spars! :-)

Its midnight and i would do my brakes right now if it weren't for the neighbors, just so i could get there earlier!

David: big bummer!
Jim (trigger): remind me to tell you my story about kite stuff falling from the car.

I'll be leaving soon! The benefits of insomnia? Probably be the first one there--before 9am

Say (zero1199) can't make it, both kids are sick. There goes my ride! If anyone's going by way of Schaumburg (more or less) and can swing by and pick me up, I'll pay for the gas there and back. Call me at 224.227.0638 if you can.

Thanks, Mark. P.S.-- can go either today or tomorrow.

Have fun today. I'll be there early tomorrow. Take pictures. Let's hope the wind is an even medium for tricks and flying?

So what I want to know is:
Why is it that the two guys who live furthest away are the first ones here?

If it was just grass & dishes, believe me it could wait. My family has been stuck in Argentina for 6 months due to visa issues. They were to arrive today, now they're leaving tonight. Somehow a note on the counter,,, "Adventure Dog & I went to fly for the day, there's some left over pizza's in the 'fridge" won't cut it.

Everyone have ALOT of fun!

How bout a map to the dunes with the note :-) we'd love to see them too!

Sorry, sick sense of humor.... got it from my mom.

Headed out, should be there in about an hour!

Great day. Made good time getting home too ... arrived 11:30 p.m. EDT. For those of you who heard me mention my interview with The Decorators, I just discovered it's been published. Have a look! The title has the word, "private" in it. I'm not sure, but that might mean its available only to subscribers.

Well, day 1 was GREAT! It was really nice to get out and fly some kites today. Plus, it was great to meet some of the new members today.

We had nice smooth wind in the morning out of the west, heading a bit towards the dunes. I put up five or six big SLKs, and really only had one "casualty" when a big delta decided to nose over and head straight for the sand. It'll need a bit of repair . . . . Then the wind died to close to zero for about an hour or two . . . then it came back out of the northeast, with an almost 180 (go) degree change in direction from the morning. I got to fly a bit of rev group fly time, then put the SLKs back up for another show. Pics later . . . . after an hour or so putting up big kites, I got to find out what makes the big kite guys so tired - I spent the next hour and a half or so taking down kites, winding in line, etc. etc. Still, a great day.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

So I just learned that the article is not yet officially live. It's marked private to make it viewable only to the author (me) and site administrator. John's waiting for a couple things from Felix before it goes live. I'll let you know!
