Re: 2nd Annual IKE Retreat! Sept 29-30
You can put me down as 75% sure . . . and I'd probably get a room for Saturday night (and I'd probably be bringing David with me since my wife is working, so I'd need two doubles). I might see if I can use points for the room . . .
Dilemma for me . . . I just had a chat with my wife yesterdayabout events in September , and I'm not sure I can get away with this event, two rivers, QC and Motts. I really won't be allowed out of the house if I go to WSIKF . . . which I might just still do if the stars align. I think this club fly event will be at the top of the list for September. The others . . . I'll probably watch the weather and see which ones I can attend based on my wife's permission and other commitments.
Jynx - this weekend looks like great fun (and the weather looks good this weekend), but I probably can't make Germantown. Wish I could attend.

I'm in. Need someone to room with/share expenses. Also need a ride there, will split gasoline costs.

It's located here!

I'm about 75% in. I'm on the road for work for about 8 weeks so being gone for the whole weekend might be pushing it at home. I might just make the day trip Saturday or Sunday.

Donn and I are IN! We only need a room for Sat night.
Re: 2nd Annual IKE Retreat! Sept 29-30
So far.. count me in for one night (Saturday)!
We received interest in attending and possibly camping for the retreat weekend from some of the WKC members... does anyone have any info for camping at or nearby the dunes?

You can camp at the Indiana Dunes State Park. No alcohol. I haven't camped there in years but I am sure you can go on there web site. If I remember right the grounds were really nice, but it should be as it is a state park.
Everything seems so much better when the sky is filled with beautiful colors.

I'm waiting on the Hilton for them to set up the group rate. It should be ready by tomorrow.
It'll be $105 and 180GO! will pay for the hotel breakfast.
I'll update this when they update me...

We can book online now.
The hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn, Chesterton: http://www.chesterton.hgi.com/
When you click to book reservations, click on "Have a special code?"
Then enter KC2012 in the group code box:
You can then book a double room for $105:

Oh yeah:
you have to book by 9/7.
The room is refundable, so just book it now, and if something comes up, you can cancel it later.
If you want you can also book the Advance purchase rate which is cheaper than the deal they gave me. That's not refundable though.
