Cool new feature at Google Mail

Postby Mike » Tue, Apr 01 2008, 06:11 PM

New! Gmail Custom TimeTM

Ever wish you could go back in time and send that crucial email that could have changed everything -- if only it hadn't slipped your mind? Gmail can now help you with those missed deadlines, missed birthdays and missed opportunities.

Pre-date your messages
You tell us what time you would have wanted your email sent, and we'll take care of the rest. Need an email to arrive 6 hours ago? No problem.

Mark as read or unread
Take sending emails to the past one step further. We let you make emails look like they've been read all along.

Make them count
Use your custom time stamped messages wisely -- each Gmail user gets ten per year.

Worry less
Forget your finance reports. Forget your anniversary. We'll make it look like you remembered.

More info here.
(But you should probably hurry. I expect the new features will end today )

I believe Google to be one of the most interesting and fun companies out there today.

Try treading the Google Story sometime, absolutely fascinating and a fun read.

IMHO, I've been using the internet since early 1994 and I have to say that of all of the companies who are internet centric, Google has provided the most interesting, useful, fun and awesome internet experience for me.

Also check out the progression of the Google logo and the special logos they have put up over the years. Way cool stuff..

My hats off to them.

Google does something like this every year. Some better than others, but usually pretty funny.

A slew of 'em this year. :-D

I agree, Google is cool. THE place to work around here, but they tend to like folks to work very long hours. They have every imaginable amenity on campus to keep people from wanting to leave, even go to lunch. Cool is the product of a lot of sweat.
