Do you sometimes wish you had a rack for holding tiles or pieces but the game doesn't include them? Here's a Kickstarter for you...

Playing Codenames at Two Rivers was fun. I was walking through Target, and noticed they have another version!

 :-D

Apparently, yes. Of course, I had to go look after that cue . . . .

Urban Dictionary version of Spacesuit

It's not that bad . . .

BTW, we had a great time with gaming over the holidays. I asked for some new games, and got Jamaica, a pirate race around the island of Jamaica,

and Trekking the National Parks, in which you travel around the country claiming Park Cards and colored stones in a mechanic that is similar to Ticket to Ride.

Neither is a super high strategy game, but they are both very fun, and GREAT family games. In fact, Trekking has become Garrett's favorite game. He plays it completely on his own with no assistance, and asks to play frequently, which I love. It's also kind of educational with its geography and has increased the kids' knowledge of the parks.

I asked for socks, and only socks, for Christmas. Merry Socksmas! I did get some great socks.

However, we also played a bunch of games over the holidays.
Here's a few more that you might want to check out for your family.
They may be a bit advanced for Garrett? It's been too long since I've had a kid that age.

These are all very different:
Haba Karuba
Patchwork
King of Tokyo
Splendor

We have King of Tokyo, and I have heard of Splendor, haven't seen the others. I still have a handful of games on my want list...

Oh, and Patchwork and Splendor have iOS versions, and probably Android?
So you can try them out.
