Erratic, Eccentric, Schizophrenic Wind

Postby Knoted4ever » Fri, Dec 15 2006, 06:29 PM

i am not very appreciative of erratic, schizophrenic, godless wind that, like a severely (or partially) mentally ill person, tends to nefariously deviate from constant order and stable behavior.

from the poet Wallace Stevens:

THE WIND SHIFTS

This is how the wind shifts:
Like the thoughts of an old human,
Who still thinks eagerly
And despairingly.
The wind shifts like this:
Like a human without illusions,
Who still feels irrational things within her.
The wind shifts like this:
Like humans approaching proudly,
Like humans approaching angrily.
This is how the wind shifts:
Like a human, heavy and heavy,
Who does not care.

Thanks Tom, our club poet (or at least poem provider).
You come up with some great stuff.

:thanks: Mike! You're all right!

from Stephen Crane:

Tell me not in joyous numbers
We can make our lives sublime
By--well, at least, not by
Dabbling much in rhyme.

Deepak Chopra would tell you to take a deep breath and slow down...

On the contrary, he most likely would be very appreciative of what was written.
