My First Flight

OK, I always meant to post this, but never got around to it.

The date is 9/9/2006. I've never touched a quad line kite before. I went to my first big fest, Mots in Milwuakee. Brett Williams is giving Rev lessons, so what the heck, I'll give it a try.

This is before IKE. Didn't know anybody. Knew nothing about quads. Funny thing...I see Mimi in the distance, so Mike must have been flying down at the other end of the field.

That seems so long ago... Who knew what I was getting into...? :P

And of course, in the huge coincidence category, there was this video that I found posted here by someone else of the same day from the other side of the field, and you can see me waiting for my lesson in the background....

Pretty good for a first go. It looks like it might have too much forward on the handles.
And look how far you've come in such a short time!

Jynx. Ugh! Hate calling you by that name. Would prefer to call you by your first name, but don't know it. Practice, practice, practice. Before you know it, you'll be outflying everyone.
Have some really outrageous ideas for a stack, just have to get out.
When you're ready, find someone to partner with. It opens up a whole new bag of tricks.
There is all kinds of things you can do with a Rev.
