Hi jeff!!!
wow,... man...you are today at a different world than the one I was a few days ago. It is really amazing. Beatiful scenery, different beauty in Guatemala.
Did you carry your kite-s with you?

I wish. Figured there'd be no time. Especially on a work trip. I'm traveling with someone else...makes it harder to do something like that even though we just found that one of the sites is slightly delayed in its setup, so we now do have some extra time.

We have nothing to do the rest of today. We're back in Anchorage...we're going to drive down to the Portage glacier in just a little while.

Jim Foster wrote:Jeff........You may want to re-think taking a kite or two. You will be in Skagway for their annual "Wind Festival". Lynn and I drove our dune buggy up to Alaska back in the 80s, and were in Skagway for that event. It runs from January 1st to December 31st.

"Skagway" in their native language means "windy place".

Was in Skagway today. So were 4 huge cruise ships. Busy with tourists. No time for me, though. And believe it or not, no wind to speak of.

Some more photos in the album. Maybe the last batch. We may finish our work and be leaving as early as late today...

It's been really neat to see. But I'm also tired and homesick. I don't leave until tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get home and see the family.

And the Fire this weekend.

I may drop by Botanic Gardens Kite Fest too. On Sunday, with my family in tow.

I have returned. It was nice out there...but nice to be home.

I missed my girls. Kayla came running at me full speed..."Daddy! Daddy's home!" :-) Almost knocked me over.

I feel like I haven't flown in months. I'll have to rectify that this afternoon...
