Hi everyone!!!
I am back...it was a weekend of kite flying fun...Saturday I went to Yuca Valley Kite Festival and I was kind of late, a little past noon, it was 2 1/2 hour ride... too far for me, but I was curious, and I went with my family of course, Ben D'antonio was there, Seal beach Club and it's gang were there a few other that I don't know but they know me, and so on it was Okay. Man, way up in the mountains...
Today I went to Redondo Beach festival, Tom Fine was the sponsor, and it was fun...
I could only fly my dual Pro Dancer Kite because there was no wind, and while all those expensive kites were grounded, and a few hundred people were asking for some wind,... I was flying my Dual Pro Dancer, it save my day...
the TV people came to my tent and asked me to be interviewed about my home made kites, just a few questions, and they wanted to see the kite in flite, and I only managed to elevate it in the park across the street from the beach, because the kite flying area was Crowded... anyway, they captured a short shot of my Guatemalan kite in flite and they also asked me if they could come to my house to find out more about kite making...soo...I think they will continue with the interview some other day, probably at my home, and I will introduce my family and specially my wife who has contributed so much into the kite making but also with her patience toward myself.
Guess what??? I forgot to ask them what channel they represented...
I guess they are from channell 22 locally or 42 on cable TV. anyway I managed to find their E-mail and send them a note about to let me know when they are going to present the interview, what channel and so on.... :(
This happend because I tought I was going to see them again at the beach, but they left and I didn't see them again. I will keep you posted of anything that happens about it.
In any case, it was fun, fun, fun...today there was one of the hottest day, and tomorrow it seems that there is gonna be a record heat day, ufff...around 89 or 90 there are predictions for a real hot year. We will see.
Okay fellow..that's my report from Los Angeles, California. 8)

My experience is that these things get rerun often. Smaller networks try to get the most for their money and therefore replay things a lot. I have a couple of bits that every time I think they are finally dead, I get another call from someone who has just seen it. When you want them to die, they never seem to. :-)

News, news, news...I spoke to the TV personel today... and they promise me to send or bring a copy of the TV coverage of the Redondo Beach Festival, to my house during the next few days. 8)
Also there is gonna be another interview about kite making and there are plan to organise a kite a festival. The way it seems to me is that they want to make a............"FIESTA DE BARRILETES" ........in wich I will be co-operating or colaborating with them, and of course: I...will fly my kites.... who know what else is ahead..........Maybe the small networks have something BIG....

Anyway, I´ll let you know what happens next. This is my report from Los Angeles, California.
God Bless you IKERS.
