Well as of this past friday evening, I have completed my Royal 69sled. :-D :-D It was a fairly simple project to do. The only problem to date is that Ol' Ma Nature has been very cruel to me, for she has been holding her breath!! So I have not been able to get it up in the air to take any pictures of it. So unless I can get it up during the week to snap some shots of it, we will have to wait till saturdays club fly for the maiden voyage.

There is only one minor adjustment that I need to do, and that would be to cut a slit in the lead edge of the tubes. That way I will be able to slip in and out the plastic line, that holds the form for the mouth of the tube. With it in all the time, I can not fold it up to stuff in a bag. DOH!!

Well wait no longer. It was getting a little dark by time I got out of work, but there was enough wind to let it fly. Could see no problems at all. :-) I was able to get a shot off close to the ground. So with out further a due...

I am SO excited to see what everyone has on Saturday...

For the spars I am using 1/4in wooden dowel rods. I will need to get some fiberglass ones. I forgot about them on my last order. DOH!!  I figure they should be fine for now.
I cannot wait to see the sled in the sun light, the yellow is so loud, it GLOWS. :c8l:

on a side note,
Babbman, I too have a little surprise that I am throwing together. :P
Hoping the materials work out ok, but think they will.

Just the finishing touches and a ______ and I'm done.

Very Nice! But if you guys inadvertently launch yourselves with these things, don't expect any heroics out of me!

That should be no problem with this 1 Knoted 4ever, it only measures out to be around 5x5. Have a delta with a wing span of 7ft. So I will be ready for any pull it might have.
