coolness at it's finest....

What material is it and how do you think it will hold up in the wind?

I'd love to use some fabric other than ripstop for things that flow and undulate in the wind... Parachute silk would be very cool but I'm sure it's expensive

It is just cotton material from JoAnnes, sure not much cheaper then the RSN can be though. Depending on what you use, can run anywhere from like $2 a yard and up to double figures!!

As far as how it will hold up, not sure just yet. I figure there are other windsocks sold out there with same materials, so why not. I figure if they last for 1 or 2 yrs thats kwel enough. I double hemmed all the seams so it should be alright.

Will have to wait for the wkend, hoping that Ol Ma Nature will not be holding her breath. I will be able to get out and see how it handles. Will start the other 1 after that. :mrblue: Will post all results.

Well the sea is a flowing well!! Very bad sky for taking pictures today thought total overcast, but here is the picture anyway. :x  Not very strong winds today, but think thing will hold up fine for the year. Did change out the weed whacker line for plastic tubing, didnt thing the line would be strong enough for support.
