TOP-LESS ??? LADY IN RED... In the making...
A couple of changes in the making a flat kite similar to the Revolution's kites.
I'll show you the results when finished.

I have allmost finished the " TOPLESS-LADY IN RED". All it needs is the bridles, but I am gonna give YOU a taste of what it is.
I guess most of you have tought about it, "TWO IN ONE " kind of kite, and since we all have to have at least 3 kinds of kites for different wind conditIons, I decided to do a little something about it.
I vented the kite and then used velcro fasteners to cover the vented area and therefore I now have 2 kites in one.
FIRST= WE TAKE THE TOP OFF= TOPLESS
SECOND= WE TAKE THE BOTTOM OFF= BOTTOMLESS
AND THE RESULT: FULLY UNDRESS

WITH THIS KITE, THERE IS NO NEED TO CHANGE KITES WHEN THE WIND PICKS UP... ???.... COMMENTS...COMMENTS...ANYONE???
EXCEPT IF THERE IS NO WIND AT ALL... :(

I went for a test fly at Redondo Beach, and...man..."Lady in Red, topless", flew perfect, it's a good kite for precision, it does it 's the full turn veeeery slow and the clock movements....right on the money...it does it like a brand new Swiss watch, just... tic, tac, tic, tac, tic tac ... or it maybe be that I am just getting better... :P

Looks good, Hector..

I think many of us have thought about vents that can be opened and closed, but you finally did it.

I have seen it on a dual line kite, but not on a Rev.

It flew just fine, I started with the vented area covered, this way it flew just like a regular Rev. and as soon as the wind picked up, I removed the large vented part, (outside) and the change was dramatically; it was much slower...and I could say it was good for team flying, Then, I put them back, (the outside), and removed the inside vented area, and the result were amazing, it was medium slower, and I noticed that it was flying very precise, I really liked that. With the inside vented area open, it was doing the clock movements very easy.

Hey guys !!! and girls !!!
If you have a vented kite, and you want to try the covering method, just buy some velcro with adhesive in the back and use any piece of plastic, atach it to the vented area, (on the ripstop, not on the screen) and cover completely, you have nothing to loose and a lot to gain. When there is not enough wind for the vented kite-s, cover the vented area and try it, it will sure fly with little wind.

And if you don't like it, just remove the plastic and the adhesive velcro, and your kite will be back to it's original shape. NOTHING TO LOOSE. Except a few dollar and a few minutes doing the proyect.

TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT. :revspin:
