Welcome to club, Mower Man!
I have a friend who grew up in Cuyahoga Falls.
Please join in the conversation here, we are happy to have you.
Do you ever go up to Grand Haven for their festival? Any Ohio festivals you would like to tempt the club to come to?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response to my message. I was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls. Wouldn't it be funny if I knew your friend. OSEK sponsers the Cleveland Kite Festival in April and September. We were new to club last year so we missed the April festival, but September's festival was fantastic. There hasn't been a definite date set yet, but as soon as the date is set, I will let everyone know. My wife and I want to go to as many festivals as we can make it to this year so we're going to keep our eyes open and scan club sites for festival dates.

Well, put the Great Lakes Kite Festival in Grand Haven Michigan on your calendar.
It's probably the biggest one in the area.

Welcome! You might try to make it to the Ansel Toney Kite Festival in Muncie, Indiana (around the first week of May); the field there at the Academy of Model Aeronautics is super-huge... endless open fields of freshly cut grass!

The Michigan Sport Kite Classic at Rockwood, MI is another possibility for you. A nice mixed sport and single line fest.
