Hello From Rock Island, IL

Postby TBEAR7410 » Tue, Mar 30 2010, 08:10 PM

Hello Fellow IKE Members,

My husband OBBJ10 and I are new to all of this. We are fairly new to the Quad Cities Area. We currently live in Rock Island, IL and we can't find anyone that flies kites here. We bought a couple of cheap kites but now we have the fever and are in the process of buying better kites but still beginners. I would like to be able to get into the trick kites or the double line kites but I think it might take me a little bit.

I hope all is well with everyone, and hope to hear from someone soon.

:thanks:

Welcome to the club.

You are going to make Mux11 (James) very happy man. Seems he lives in your area and loves nylon ... no, I mean really loves nylon. You should PM him and make arrangements to meet. He will be able to steer you well on adding to your kite collection and just flying in general.

Watch for the Quad Cities kite festival in the fall ... it's a must do that James is responsible for organizing. It is a good time.

Again, welcome aboard ... glad to have you participating.

Cheers,
Tom

Welcome to the club!
Keep an eye on the festivals and club flies. You may find it worth a drive, especially if you have any interest in quad-line kites...
