Seal Beach, California.

Postby Hector Herrera » Thu, Aug 23 2007, 09:18 PM

Hi everyone, September 16, it's the date for the Seal Beach Kite Festival, and I am in for a demo.
I had the invitation by the club and the organisers; so I will be doing some quad rutine on that day,
or maybe a conbinations of dual & quad.
I still don't know if I will fly Ike the Red Baron or another kite, I'll let you know the results, and if posible
some videos, and photos.
(kite Festival section, is bussy, so I use this area instead)

We have been on the road since July 17th, plan to get back to So. Cal this Saturday, the 8th.

We too have been asked to fly demos at Seal Beach. Looking forward to it.

Lynn and I competed in the "Senior Ballet" at WSIKF as a pair. 1st place, novice class. We also flew a pairs demo during the lighted night fly on Friday evening. We both flew with iQuad in a 16 Rev mega fly. We had a blast at WSIKF this year.

You bet your sweet Rev we'll be at Seal Beach.

Dan and Zach are packing the "kite coffin" this minute, getting ready to leave for Seal Beach tomorrow night. Russ, Josh, Dan and Zach will represent the Chicago Fire Kite Team on Sunday and they are all really looking forward to the event. Zach is also hoping to fly with the Rev Mega Team, Dan is hoping for some great KAP shots and Josh is hoping to have another "Sharpie Tattoo" drawn on his arm by Mikio!

Should be a great time!

More to follow when then return!

Hector,
Did you use the same music as John Barresi?

Yes and no...my introduction is diferent then it plays Figaro. The one I put togheter is very good, with alegro in the beggining, then clasic slow, to high tempo, then atack in crecendo and so on, and the finnale is also alegro clasic looney toones. You've heard figaro before.

It was good. I have to practice some more to perfect it.
What about Barresi?

He does the routine to Barber of Seville, it can be watched at Kitelife in the videos. I think it is his most recent competition. Sounds like everybody had a good time on the coast this past weekend. Only FIVE more months to go. Cannot wait!! KP here I come!!!

Ooops...You are absolutly right, it is the Barber of Seville, the one I used not Figaro... But my introduction is different. I guess anyone can play whatever He or She likes.

Barresi has been doing that routine for about 15 years. It's kind of his signature routine.
