Re: Kites Over Lake Michigan
A spectator at the KOLM event recently wrote to me asking:
"I was at a kite function in Two Rivers recently and really enjoyed it. I loved it all, but fell in love with one show that shows 3 kites doing a show to the music of Over the rainbow. I would like to know who the sax player that played the song and what album it is on and is there a DVD of the show he performed and the who was the kite controller."
Does anyone have the answers to this?? Thanks much!

You mean the routine that is in the video I posted above...about 6:15 into it?
That would be Dan Newman flying his stack of 5 rainbow colored kites.
I don't know the version of the song offhand, but it shouldn't be too hard to find...
Re: Kites Over Lake Michigan
Does anybody have an email address for the festival organizer from KOLM?
The email form on his website doesn't work. I wanted to send him a link to the video from the event.

Re: Kites Over Lake Michigan
Hey Jeff, after checking further, I believe the song may be by Richard Elliot from "On the Town."
Check this album on Amazon, and scroll down to play a sample. It's the 12th track.
