I am also at the same hotel, although I would probably have to strap you on the roof to get you back to the hotel. As you know, I travel light.

You can ride with us Jeff. There's still 3 seats (including the drivers seat) in the Kite Van.

When is everybody arriving?

We're driving up tomorrow (Friday), making a mini-vacation out of the weekend.

Ken, Mike and I are at the beach. It's beautiful out here. Could use a few more mph, but it's gorgeous. Nice beach. Only 3 of us with quads, though.

What are you doing online and not kiting?? Only 3 quads, Mike should be selling them right and left. Hoping for decent winds for you to get them up. Wish I could have made it.

The wind really picked up in the afternoon.

And Ken made his solo demo debut.

Very fun day...another to come.

Issac, we will be hitting the beach in the area of 8:30. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Thanks Jeff for tooting the horn first for me.

Thats right guys and gals, Ann nudged me into doing a demo for this weekend.   With only the three of us out here with quads and they had nobody set up to do demos, of course they asked Mike first, but the "King of Tease" passed on it. He has way too much fun playing with the crowds!!! So Ann asked me, and asked me and asked me... You can only say no to her for so long, I gave in. What a Hoot it ended up being!! :mrblue: :mrblue:

The first demo was a little ruff in my eyes, of course. :? Winds were little light so I picked slow music, and of course ol' ma nature started blowing better when I was set to go. Not agood mix. But the second time was much better, flew to Jimmy Buffet's Margaretavillie. Worked much better!! Will be doing ethier two or three more tomorrow, cannot wait!!!!

We are such media HOGS!!!!!  The local papers seem to find us everywhere we go, WAY TOO KWEL!!!! :mrblue:

We were so warmly welcomed by everybody and it was such a nice to fly, I will be sure to try and make it again next year.
Jeff Hale, Please pass on a "THANK YOU" to Chow from us for the invitation.

and Hats off once again to Ann. For she was able to nudge Mike, Jeff, Issac and myself into doing some impromptu "TEAM FLYING"!
We were such a HUGE hit, the crowd wanted us to do an encore the first time out!! A second demo was done later in the afternoon.

Of course Ann did not have to really nudge me because I had already had a taste of the LIMELIGHT! With doing it yesterday, and having three solo demos this afternoon. :mrblue:

Sorry Babbman, but I beat you to it. :P  I heard you will be doing some demos out in Mots. Cant wait to be able to cheer you on like Mike and Jeff did for me this weekend!!

That was a great festival. Kind of like a mini-Grand Haven, but better in some ways.
You don't see it in the photos that have been posted so far, but there were 1000's of people there and the sky was filled with kites up and down beach.

The set up was like Pontiac, with goofing around and intermittent demos.

The local townspeople were enthusiastic. Usually the hotel clerks don't even know what I'm talking about when I talk about a kite festival, here both the night clerk and the day clerks at the hotel told us they were looking forward to the festival and actually went to the festival and said they loved it. People walking down the hotel hallway stopped to tell Ken and I they saw us at the festival and how they enjoyed it. Two people at breakfast on Sunday told me how they enjoyed the festival. Probably 30 people at the festival stopped to shake my hand. One woman told me she was there on Saturday and then called her sister to come on Sunday just to watch me play with the crowd. Groupies :P

The had some live TV on Saturday morning, and live radio all day playing to large crowds on Saturday. The crowds were even bigger on Sunday.
Chow Chung served us two nice dinners. One at a country club, the other at a reserved room at the Lighthouse inn.

For the quad fliers:
Team Two Rivers made their debut. Though I think the team should be called Herding Kittens. We kept it simple and didn't do Benefits or Blenders. We simplified the Follow to minimize downturns. Our balls and bursts looked good, we did variations on To The Edges, Pez, Pinwheels and Radars.

Though I know they aren't on this forum, word gets around, so I'd like to thank Mike Delfar, Kathy Brinnehl, Paul Koepke, Dan Newman, Dan Brinnehl
and Ann for their support and making us feel welcome in the sport kite field. They will all be at Mots as well, so you can meet these nice folks there if you go this weekend.
