Godiva? Be still my heart! I hope Pat got him good. He's messing with some mighty laws of nature trying to get chocoate from a lady.

Brats work well in Wisconsin, were brat consumption is nearly a religion. It is a hoot to watch folks from Wisc. battle for a brat. I've seen one, nearly miraculous, recovery of a fly away brat.

Brat drops are fun, however Decatur's likely to have some food their known for as an alternative.

I don't think a soybean drop would be much fun... :rotfl

A Sushi drop would be cool though...lol

Al, i lived in Kansas for almost 3 years. There were alfalfa fields in abundance all around us. It doesn't grow much taller than it was in the field that your kites were in... and it stays green, not getting very rigid or unyielding. They sprayed a lot of it with insecticide in Kansas, for cutworm moths, and my bees (i was an avid beekeeper) had a tough time with the insecticides. The roots of alfalfa can grow many feet deep into the soil. The alfalfa field that you were in was very poorly tended... containing a lot of grass... unless that was intentional! Personally, i think that the electrical units, in the grass fields, could do more malicious damage to big kites than any alfalfa would.

the disk is now in my possession... I've zipped up the pictures and put them on yousendit for anyone that's interested.

Ken, unless you got DSL in the last few days, there isn't any way to download them as they are over 60 meg each in 4 files... send me your mailing address and I'll send a copy of the disk to you.

The video stuff that i filmed of the Decatur Festival looks pretty neat. i can't upload it due to the slow dial-up, but i'll bring some discs to G.H.

Especially cool was footage of Al's kites, The Quad Guys with No Name flying, and homemade stuff in the air doing their awesome thing!

nice! Unfortunately, my laptop died so we won't be able to view it there in Grand Haven. But I can take the disc home and then post the video.
