Yep. One and the same. It's a long ride for a one-day 'first annual' but everyone is welcome!

Not much worse then when I have driven for three hours to go to Milwaukee, for just a day. I will see what I can do, wont promise anything though. Would be KWEL to hang with you for the day! Any good cheap hotels around or near by? If I do make it, I would be spending the night. Drive up in the morning.

I am game for pooling or caravaning, I have never been to any part of Kentucky either. I got the  from Krissy tonight about going. So it may just happen either way, alone or with the group. :mrviolet:

Check with the organizing group for the festivals and see if they have any complimentary motel rooms. That is in return for filling the skies with lots of color on the festival day. And maybe night. Banners are good, too. Excellent, actually, for the festival grounds.
Do you want a new kite? Build one! Enjoy it three ways, planning, construction, flying.

Well I made it down to Kentucky this weekend. I would first like to throw out a big-O' :thanks: to Dan and his wife for their hospitality!!! Made me feel very welcomed. It was just a shame Ol' Ma Nature was as friendly, she teased us all day long!!! There were times that all of a sudden the kites would just fall out of the sky. A tree even tried to keep my double parasled. But I would not let keep it.

It was a nice field to fly at, and I had met a few people from Cincinnati and from central Ky., and Yes I did hand out a few cards too. It was a nice turn out for it being their first attempt at hosting a fest.

I didnt take too many pictures do to not use to having a camera. Oh well. But here are the few that I did take. :P

After having Gus and Bobby meeting. I see, I will NEED to make a full scale one and turn Gus into line landury. Bobby just dwarfed Gus.

I hope they well try and have another next year, I would go back down again

Thanks for the photos and report on the festival.
I know about not taking photos. I carry a camera in my pocket and still forget to take pictures.

Don't make Gus line laundry, he looks like a good size for the littlest kids.

A friend of Zippy D's had also made it out to the field that day with a camera. To bad he came out near the end of the day. But he did get some shots of Zippy D and his friend flying dual lines and me with my stack-o-three.

Here is a link if anyone is interested in seeing the photos... http://picasaweb.google.com/leepfeiffer/KiteFestival
