I need to find one of these, and the source for those lights!
It's a great satisfaction knowing that for a brief point in time you made a difference.

It would be cool to fly one at a night fly.

A cool RC aircraft, but not a kite. I have seen the same thing with an UL cellular kite, but then it ceased to be a kite and became an RC aircraft.

As far as night flies, I have this vision of someone's line wrapped around the prop. It is somewhat protected, but I bet it could still tangle. It would be fine in a small night fly, and a menace in a crowded one.

I've seen the cellular kite too. The first time I saw it was at an indoor fly in Grand Haven.
The guy was flying what looked liked a cube kite and then all of a sudden it took off and started flying around the room on it's own. Caught everyone by surprise and was pretty funny.

I agree that the thing in the video is not a kite, but I've been at a lot of night flys where there was barely enough wind to keep the kites in the air and this thing would be pretty fun to zip around.
