Dang, that's some nice flyin'.

They do a lot of standard moves in that routine, it's a good study for team flying.

Here's what they are doing, minute by minute. If you like, open the video in a separate window and read along here as you watch. If you're really motivated, you might want to look at the team manual and pause and step through the video too.

00:07 opening with a staggered start
00:12 follow. notice that really nice even spacing between the kites.
00:26 tip pivots up and then they drop the horizontal line down a bit
00:42 drop into a ball
00:44 burst
00:47 back in
00:52 burst
00:55 twister
01:14 fly thru
01:36 radar off the bottom, 90°
01:38 odds face right
01:39 to the edges followed by 180 and returns with a fly thru, then fly thru with a pop, then right into...
01:58 twin radars down and back up
02:06 blender
02:15 twin radars down and back up, right into
02:23 dosey-do, out to the edges and more dosey-dos
02:38 compound benefits (look at how nicely they pivot around each other)
02:48 twin radars again (it's a move they figured out in Grand Haven. They seem to like it!)
03:01 all kites face up and follow
03:09 I don't have a name for this move nor the one that comes after it. It's a nice follow.
03:52 radar 90, off the bottom
03:55 180 and radar back up. I don't have a name for this move either.
04:33 Benefits
04:46 to the edges with a pop and then fly to the middle and ...
04:58 kites 2 & 3 stay put, 1 & 4 continue to the edge and return. This is a clever way to get them set up for a
05:04 pinwheel, 360
05:23 blender followed by to the edges and return and immediately
05:38 face up and follow
05:53 some of that nice pinwheel looking effect from a closely and evenly spaced follow
06:03 1 x 2 x 1
06:06 flanking moves. Starts with a flank left.
06:22 fall in to a follow and land.
06:33 walk the kites
06:38 they can't stop flying!
Radar 90 off the left, followed by a 180 and a radar off the bottom to end the routine.

The guy without the shirt in the #1 position is John Barresi
#2 is ? (I can't tell)
#3 is Todd Rudolph
#4 looks like David Hathaway

Exactly what I saw also... a bit of creativity in combining them makes a great looking routine.

We need to get past all the newness and anxiety of this and just start doing...

I'm so ready to move forward...

Guess I didn't recognize Steve without his hat. Hathaway never shows his face, but he walked like Monkey Boy.

Babbman is absolutly right, Ike Quad team has to just grab the bull by the Horns, and go for it. Be creative, GET YOUR OWN ROUTINE, and practice the same one, over and over, that way you guys will be top guns. Remember, you represent Illinois, and you guys are very good, just need to be the best, and you can do it. GO IKE QUAD, GO IKE QUAD, GO IKE QUAD.... I trust you all the way from California.
Mike, remember I asked for a pre routine? that's what you guys need right now, and keep it for the team only, kind of a secret weapon, if you want to go and compite with some other Quads, and, of course, you want to be better.

Thanks for the pep talk Hector!
We don't have a team yet, try-outs are in a couple weeks. But once we have the team, I'll keep your words in mind.

As far as a secret weapon, well, that's just not my style. I'm just not competitive, I'm more of a teacher. So if we come up with any cool moves, they will probably wind up in the mega-fly / team manual.
