Modifying Our New Rev

Postby Jim Foster » Sat, Feb 10 2007, 01:57 PM

Lynn and I just finished modifying our new EXP to match the patriotic EXP I fly. We now have a matched pair. The only trouble we had was getting the double stick tape to stick to the blue material on the new kite. Lynn overcame that with masking tape and patience.

Is this a game? Am I supposed to figure out what's different between the two photos?

Beautiful kites, neat to have a matching pair.

You will have great difficulty figuring out the difference, as there is none. I posted the photo twice in error. How do I remove one pic?

Took care of the extra pic, Jim

BTW, beautiful kites  Be sure to post pics in flight!

Chris

It may be a while before I can post pics of the two kites flying together as with Lynn and I both flying, we will have to have someone else take the pictures. We are pretty good flyers, but not quite good enough to fly quads and take photos at the same time.

However, to hold you until such a picture can be taken, here is a photo of the two vented quads we made a couple of years ago. These are not modified Revs, we made these two kites from scratch.

 Great job!! I like the patriotic design, but the venting seems to throw it off a little(just my opinion  )

Thanks for the pic! :mrblue:

BTW, what kind of seams do you use on the Rev sails?

Chris

We overlap the two panels about 3/8 inch, attach them to each other using 1/4 inch double stick seam tape the full length of the seam, then sew with the three stitch one way and three stitch the other. This is the exact method used by Revolution. Good enough for them, good enough for us.
