Because we're having an artic winter and have gotten a ton of snow and are getting it again today with winds blowing it all back into where we've cleared it up. They are also saying that we're supposed to get more snow this Saturday, we're going to cancel this sewing class this Saturday and we can look at doing it again later this year, maybe this summer when we don't have any wind. Travelling out here is difficult and the blowing can make travel really hazardous.

Sorry about the stupid weather.

Big Mike

Good decision Mike.

I remember returning home after the last sewing session with weather like this. I knew it was slippery, but still ended up stopping about 40 yards PAST the first stop sign. Luckily it was out in the country with no traffic.

The scariest part was approaching Washington. We have a rather large curve on old Route 24 that is banked. There were a number of cars in the ditch on the bottom of the bank. As I was approaching them, the car ahead of me stopped near the stuck cars, and then, simply slide sideways into the ditch. With that picture in mind, I kept moving. Halfway around the curve a car coming at me started sliding down the slope right across my lane. Did the only thing I could, steered carefully up the bank and passed the sliding car on it's passenger side. Love the Jeep's four wheel drive ...

Again, good decision Mike.

Cheers,
Tom

I dunno if this would be as fun, but maybe we could try an online class? Jeepster could present the steps over time and answer questions along the way.
Otherwise, July is often a pretty slow month kite-wise.

I think several people were planning on getting fabric from me for the build. I'll have to connect with folks to get them the fabric if it's going to be online (or we can wait until July-ish).

Could run a Hangout for multi-party video conferencing.

I think the snow is over . . . . .

June is pretty much already taken by festival / event weekends, as is a chunk of August. Hmm . . . that leaves July . . . . although I may end up going to Florida again for a long weekend in July.
