That also looks like a good, light weight, method for attaching line laundry to your main lines. Yes?

I'm not sure. The knot will slip if it's not under lateral tension. If you try it, let us know how it works.
I like the method that Gomberg uses for attaching line laundary. He uses a few wraps around a caribiner.


By the way, here's another method of typing the Prusik. This is for the bow line. Instead of tying it in hand, there's this way using a straw:

My study group canceled today and i thought i would make some progress :) Jeepster was right ~ im feeling like an assembly line.

Got the sails together - reinforcements cut out and was getting ready to tack them on when I realized, do the corners go on the back or front of the sail.

The reinforcement patches go on the back of the sail, the part you don't see from the ground. I hope that answers your question.

As a one day expert ... all reinforcements go on the back ... both the corners and the square pads. Don't forget to align the corner reinforcements so that the edges are under the hem, and yet, don't have to be folded with the hem.

To do the hem, brief instructions:
The line that's drawn for the hem is on the front of the kite.
Fold along that line, folding the hem to the back of the kite.
Then fold again, folding it inside to the fold, it's now a 1/4" wide rolled hem.
Sew with a zig zag.

Here's a detail of the corner steps. It'll supplement the diagrams and partial instructions you took home:

OK, who made the light blue/whit ROK with the stripes in the background of the picture where Mike is leaning over the table. It's hanging on the wall.. I love it.

I am constantly entertained when I tell people (especially women) and get 'the look'. Then I show them some pictures of what I've sewed and get 'the look'...lol

Even though I wasn't there, I have my own ROK that I built a couple of years ago..

With the 25+ mph winds we're in the midst of, I think vented ROKs are in order as our next project. Geez, when I finally decided to go fly the new ROK on Sunday the winds were at zero ... now yesterday, today and tomorrow the winds are simply too high to fly.

There's an only saying that goes something like this, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans." What does God have against kite flyers with a new kite?

A dozen or so of those would make a nice sound...

I was going to post a picture of what I came up with for my applique on the rok, but it was done up in Corel Draw. Since I dont know how to upload from there to here.

I will say this much - it is done with tribal art and the girls will have two choices to root for not.
Mike's "GRRRRRRL" or my piece.

So you all will just have to wait see it in person at a fest near you.
Unless some of you computer gurus can help me with this problem.

That's usually where they hide the conversion stuff. If you can export it as a jpg you can upload the jpg here.
