Building Line Sets Indoors

The Washington Park District building has a hallway that's well over 160 feet long. The manger gave me permission to use it for building and adjusting line sets. With winter in full swing, it turns out to be a neat place ... the third floor is empty in the evening. jgrob and I built a 120 foot line set for him this evening. What I came up with to anchor one end of the lines would have made Rube Goldberg proud. It involved a rope, a stairway railing, a table and an assortment of carabiners. It wasn't anywheres as easy as making lines outside where one can use stakes to hold the lines.

My question is very simple: What's your experience been with building line sets indoors? What did you use to anchor the lines to stretch them? Any hints?

Cheers,
Tom

I've only done short sets indoors and did it like you--with a rope and a caribiner.
