Aptly illustrated with maps, colour and black-and-white photographs, diagrams, musical transcriptions and online sources, the publication provides insights into traditional and contemporary culture across the vast reaches of the Kepri Province. Gongs, presumably telempung, were also involved. The music was a further example of the modern kreasi style discussed earlier, but even more 'modern' in approach. The Sayang Bini music-and-dance performance won first prize on the Bandung station of Radio Republik Indonesia and second prize in Bali- but on home ground in Tanjungpinang it won only third prize!
