Listen, I&#;m Eddie Lacy&#;s biggest fan, aside from his local Chinese takeout restaurant. He single handedly got me into my Fantasy Football championship last year with a garbage time 20 yard run and touchdown. I&#;ll be forever in his debt.

I&#;m glad Eddie isn&#;t (that) fat anymore. I guess. It was honestly what attracted me to him. Through some trades, he&#;s landed on my team again this year in 3 of my 4 leagues (I told you I LOVE the guy). So here&#;s my plead: Eddie, score a god damn touch down! I appreciate the early season yard games. But, put some points on the board. Please.

Can someone put a pizza in the end zone or something? Papa John&#;s Pizza, THIS IS YOUR SHOT! Peyton may have used steroids. Your boy, J.J. Watt is out for the season. No player would appreciate an endorsement from a pizza joint more than Eddie Lacy.

Actually, scratch that, I&#;m sure the Packers put a &#;no fast food&#; clause into his contract.

 3 games &#; 43 attempts, yards, 0 tds, 5 targets, 2 receptions, 19 yards = fantasy points.

Any way, always remember&#;

Bachelorette Party Food Ideas

Thanks to our party sponsors for providing many of the items used during our event.

Any time I throw a party, you can be assured that the food will be plentiful. I&#;d much rather have too much food than not enough &#; I want to make sure my guests have a good time, and I welcome leftovers because I&#;ll just put them to use after the party! Jaime&#;s bachelorette party food buffet ended up being so large that several people commented, &#;How many guests are you expecting?!&#; when they saw how much there was! Since party food seems to be my specialty, I wanted to share what I did at this event to give you inspiration for your own menu.

Bachelorette Party Food Ideas

  • Wedding-Themed Eats: As you can tell from the photo above, I can&#;t resist terrible puns. 😉 The &#;Can&#;t elope&#; joke sprung into my mind while I was writing down ideas for the party, and I quite literally got a cantaloupe just so I could use that joke. I printed off a piece of paper with my joke, taped it onto the back of toothpick, cut the melon into small pieces and then inserted the sign into one of the pieces of cantaloupe to display it.
  • Other Fruit: I also served grapes, watermelon slices, and two large trays filled with raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Since most of my cocktail recipes called for fresh raspberries, these trays did double-duty for both making the drinks and also providing a sweet snack for the guests.
  • Cheese Table: As I mentioned in my post about our wine tasting, I picked out a selection of six cheeses to pair with our wines. There was so much cheese that I ended up putting it on a separate table since it wouldn&#;t fit on the main buffet!
  • Homemade Bread: My bread machine makes bread baking a snap, and fresh, homemade bread always seems to be a big hit. I took my breadmaker to Portland, since I wanted to bake bread for the party and also for a Tapas Competition I was going to the following day. I baked two loaves for the party and it went really nicely with the cheeses.
  • Aceitunas a la Sevillana: Speaking of the Tapas Competition, I was also making Aceitunas a la Sevillana for the event, and decided to double the batch so I could serve them at the bachelorette as well, since they are also pair excellently with wine.
  • Aceitunas a la Sevillana

  • Hummus: I got two large containers of hummus, which I think makes a great party snack. Guests could eat this with the bread or with the veggie platter I made. Which brings us to:
  • Veggies: I usually prefer to make my own veggie platters rather than getting the pre-made ones, since it&#;s the more frugal option. I chopped up cucumber and bell pepper, which I served along with grape tomatoes and peeled, chopped carrot sections.
  • Pizza: I wanted to have something for a main course, so I picked up several large, ready-to-bake pizzas. Since there was a lot of food, I only ended up needing to bake one during the party &#; we cut it into bite-sized pieces, which made it easy to serve! Pizza also paired with one of the wines I was serving.
  • Chocolate: I set out a box of Merci Chocolates to be enjoyed with the Rosa Regale wine that was available.
  • Popsicles: I was gifted a stack of coupons for free boxes of Popsicles, so I picked up a few boxes for the party, just for fun! I put them in a foam cooler underneath the buffet table, but had to drag it on the front porch after the box broke apart on one side.

Bachelorette Party Food

I kept two other coolers under the buffet table: One was completely filled with ice, and the other contained things like my cocktail shaker, sweetener, limes, and mint for the cocktails. I also placed two boxes in the kitchen for trash and recycling. I always like to label these clearly at parties, so guests know where to place their empty plates and bottles.

Foldscope: where have you been all my life?

This is just begging to be a science fair project: a group of scientists at Stanford have made an origami microscope! It’s crazy cheap, super portable and is capable of some pretty impressive magnification for something made of a scrap of paper, a cheap lens and an LED.

If you are in possession of a small child, have access to one (or merely behave like one), you need to shamelessly use him or her as an excuse to drop everything and make a Foldscope of your own.

Tech Review has a nice description of the project and the creators of the Foldscope published a write-up on it on eunic-brussels.eu

PS: If you’re the type who likes an over-abundance of detail with your cool science info and you’re not familiar with Cornell’s eunic-brussels.eu yet, you&#;ve been missing out. It’s an open access source for e-prints of technical papers on physics, computer science, math, quantitative biology, quantitative finance and statistics. (Personally, I could do without those last two, but that’s just me….quantum mechanics I can do. Finance scares the pants off me.)

Road trips and summertime just go together so well. Packing up the car and traveling to new destinations in and around my area is one of my favorite things to do. If you&#;re looking for one last road trip hurrah to end your summer on a high note, I&#;ve got the perfect place for you and the best way to travel there: Peddler&#;s Village using the PA Turnpike. Peddler&#;s Village is one of the CUTEST areas in Bucks County, PA and using E-ZPass on the Pennsylvania Turnpike to get there saves time, money, fuel and emissions.

First of all, it&#;s a no brainer that road trips are the best! As a word of advice, take every opportunity you get for a road trip. I guarantee you’ll gain unforgettable experiences and memories. While being in a car with family/friends can be so fun, you also want to save as much time and money as you can before arriving at your destination. E-ZPass helps you do just that! E-ZPass is the best way to keep money in your pocket because it saves you nearly 60% on tolls.

The PA Turnpike and E-ZPass offer the cheapest and most convenient way to travel. Still on the fence? Here are few reasons that make the decision a no-brainer. First, the PA Turnpike has converted to All-Electronic Tolling. So, no more digging for cash or waiting in line to pay a toll. Travel on the PA Turnpike is now easier, more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly. Second, the PA Turnpike accepts two payment options: E-ZPass, which is a pre-paid program, or Toll By Plate, a license plate tolling system. Third, both E-ZPass and Toll By Plate customers can save on tolls. E-ZPass is the cheapest option. Drivers save nearly 60% on tolls. Toll By Plate customers can also save 15% on tolls if they register for autopay. I mean, we all just want to travel more efficiently and cost-effectively, right? Well, by taking the PA Turnpike and using your E-ZPass, you can do just that! Now is the perfect time to sign up for E-ZPass and start saving.

Planning your route ahead of your trip helps you understand time, mileage, gas, and where you will need or want to stop. Conveniently, there are 17 service plazas located along the PA Turnpike. They are open 24/7 and offer a variety of food options, fuel, restrooms, and other amenities which will make your trip so much easier. I made a pitstop at the King Of Prussia service plaza during my recent summer road trip. You can even plan ahead by checking out all the service plaza locations via the Turnpike’s website. If you&#;re a planner like I am, it also helps to view the online Toll Calculator so you can see how E-ZPass will save you money as you drive. The PA Turnpike website has awesome travel tools that will make planning your next trip a breeze 😊.

This summer, I was eager to travel more in Pennsylvania and decided to plan a trip to Peddler&#;s Village. It&#;s a place I had been before during a press retreat with Visit Bucks County for their &#;Gourmet Getaway&#; a couple years ago and absolutely fell in love with the place. I jumped at the opportunity to return there this summer and quickly got to planning fun things to see and do on our trip. In case you&#;ve never been before, Peddler’s Village is a landmark shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA. Peddler’s Village is a acre shopping, dining, lodging and family entertainment destination that features graceful 18th-century-style buildings, lush gardens, and winding brick walkways. Created in , the site is one of Pennsylvania’s premier attractions, drawing more than two million visitors each year. Its historical storybook setting includes 65 distinctive retail shops, seven restaurants, the room Golden Plough Inn, and Giggleberry Fair, an indoor family entertainment center. Peddler’s Village hosts numerous year-round festivals and seasonal events for the public. Recently, Pedder&#;s Village was named the #1 tourist attraction in the Philadelphia region by the Philadelphia Business Journal. So, if it&#;s not already on your list of top things to check out, it should be now!!

Upon our arrival to Peddler&#;s Village, we checked into the elegant and equally as charming, Golden Plough Inn. The location is perfect and offers easy access to all the fun, food and year-round festivities of Peddler’s. The hospitality was amazing, and I already can&#;t wait to stay here again! That night, we enjoyed dinner for two at Earl’s New American, which pairs the rustic charm and romance of a Bucks County farmhouse with contemporary cuisine. Earl&#;s New American is hands down one of THE BEST restaurants in the area and an all-around superb dining experience. The food here is locally sourced and beyond good! After a wonderful meal we headed to one of Peddler&#;s Village amazing summertime events: Comedy Under the Stars. Held under their new event tent, we had such a fun time and couldn&#;t stop laughing as host Dwayne Dunlevy, Erin Harkes, Paul Lyons, and headliner David Temple took to the stage. What a perfect ending to a great night!

The next day we started with some delectable selections for breakfast at FresCafe (definitely recommend trying the green smoothie)! We had the chance to attend a special event in the outdoor theater for the Peddler&#;s Village Showtime Under the Stars series, which included a performance of “Murder at the Moulin” by their production partner Without a Cue. The show was SO MUCH FUN, as was the entire trip.

One of the best things about road trips is the freedom and flexibility they give you for traveling. See an interesting sign for a must-stop place? Take a detour! You can go wherever the road leads you. Road trips are perfect for spontaneity! Doing some research and planning ahead of time can help make sure you hit up all the best spots and don’t miss out on any must-sees. With summer travel in full gear, more drivers and vacationers will be on the road. Remember attention to the road is key to making it to your destination safely.

I highly recommend checking out Peddler&#;s Village in Bucks County. There’s so much to do and see, and they are always hosting new festivals and events. I remember as a kid getting so excited about family road trips. My mom would always find cool places to stop along the way. Plus, all the food, games, music, movies, and family time were what I looked forward to. Sometimes, family road trips can test our relationships, but in the end, they usually make us stronger and more connected. So, when you’re planning, consider these ideas to help you prepare, and remember that if you&#;re looking for ease and convenience on your trip, use your E-ZPass on the PA Turnpike. They will get you started in making it one of the most memorable vacations ever!

Stay tuned for more adventures&#;

White Buffalo Prophecy

I♡U

The whales told us in our elearning DVD, Whale Communicators: The Dolphin Human Whale Connection that we did almost a decade ago, that this change upon the planet would require a spiritual connection to our Father, our Earth and all life upon our Planet (the web of life). Those who choose to vibrate at lower frequencies and cause havoc in our world won&#;t be able to withstand the vibrant high vibrating energies coming to our planet now.

Peace, love and harmony will prevail and we will rebuild on the proper foundation of great love & Unity with RESPECT for all God’s BEings.) WE will make this Planet a heaven upon Earth without all the corruption and darkness that has plagued us for s of years.

We must join hearts and hands and share ideas in Unity Community style to get there. We must do things that have never been done before. We must share ideas and dreams and bring ourselves together with a WE attitude in order to rebuild and world upon a solid foundation of Love & Great Heart.

I love you and thank you for watching and sharing our video/s.
