From the affective and visual memories from my childhood, this film is a tribute to my uncle Thomas, who was a humble man, a little eccentric and had a simple and anonymous life. In an anthropomorphic world, a young cat-boy wants to win his school swimming contest with the support of his mum. A young boy loses his brand new toy in the bush of the playground. He has won several graphic design awards and he is represented in museums and private collections at home and abroad. Newland has directed for television and is animation instructor at Vancouver Film School.
