Re: T-Shirts!

I like red! It looks great against green grass. (as in me getting pulled across the field by too much kite) :rotfl

You folks just have to get me a 2XL and promise not to point out on the field to the "big red tent".

I tried the trick with the bubbles into a vat of liquid nitrogen. When the bubbles hit the liquid it was cool. When I reached into the vat to retreive them it was BAD.

Re: January 27, 2007 Club Fly

I really enjoyed flying with everyone again. And meeting new members. Especially one with the same birthday as me! BTW Happy birthday Joe's dad! I just got a chance to read Fridays Kankakee Journal (the daily paper in this area) and saw that SOMEONE (we wont mention any names just that this guy is a...

Re: January Club Fly--when?

Real funny Draftnik! :rotfl I'm planning on wearing a Knotted 4 Ever discuise so the local authorities will leave me alone! I have flown that field 50 time in the last 10 years and been thrown off half as many times. Unlike Knotted I must have a dangerous look about me. Of cource my quad flying IS A...

I just checked Google and found tons of info on this kite. Someone has one on ebay for $250.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/World-War-II-U-S-Na ... dZViewItem. They were manuvered by means of a rudder on the back side of the kite.

Re: 1945 Stunt Kite

The target kite kinda looks like a larger version of my Paul Powell stunt kite. What do you think Mike, that kite has to be 30 years old or better. I wonder if navy surplus has any crates available. Might be fun.

The link you posted is for the entire newspaper (which has a limited subscribership) and is todays edition. The paper I get is a smaller, free version and goes out to everyone in the area. (much larger coverage) It comes in the mail every Wed.

Re: January Club Fly--when?

The field is owned by the school district. Part of it is under lease to the youth soccer league. It is a beautiful place to fly and with no soccer going on I wouldn't think we would be interfering with anything. With snow on the ground I don't know if any powers that be will be driving by the field ...

I just got todays copy of "The Country Market" newspaper. IKE has the entire front page! Three color pictures (one is of MIMI from the kite fest) one pic is either Ken's or Chris's butt, (who had the hoodie on?) and one of a sled SLK. Great coverage! The only problem I see is that they ann...

It's offical. My Revolution kite bag has given birth :nurse: to a brand new vented rev. The baby is swaddled in red, orange black and yellow. I will now be able to fly with you in higher winds.(without shredding Mikes old standby) Now, a set of 120 lines and I should be set. If you believe that stat...
