Re: Kites Over Lake Storey

Thinking about heading out Galesburg for their kite fest on May 5-6th. Wondering if any others are going to attend this one also? I've flown at KOLS each & every year. Unfortunately, it always happens to fall on a work weekend for me & this year I've had to free up that vacation time in ord...

Re: List Of Spring And Summer Festivals For 2007

Wind is the issue with July/Aug festivals. Midwest heat and wind don't seem to go hand in hand. Dodgeville Wisc. has a festival in early July, that I've not heard anything about yet this year. To the best of my knowledge, the Wisconsin Kiter's annual 'Dodgeville Kite Roundup' is no more. There was ...

Re: The Grandest Haven

We can settle the $ in Grand Haven. I'm the only guy with a car and you guys don't know how early I like to hit the beach  i was there early, last year in Grand Haven, and don't remember seeing you there early. i met TeeCee and his wonderful father there, for instance, and we had a ...

The only thing I've found to get the sticky off is with a goo-gone sort of thing.

Re: Woodrige May 19th

Re: Woodrige May 19th

hi Dave, What's this Woodridge event??? Just curious...1st I've ever heard of it. No word from Steve Negen / MacKites, so I don't know if I'll be attending Grand Haven or not. Will keep your event in mind as a possible alternative (so long as it's something more than a small fun fly). get 'high' on ...

Re: Stratoscoop

You're right on the mark Banshee. I own two of the Strat 3's (30sq ft each) & they're very good lifters...though they do tend to need a good clean wind to get 'em off the ground (NOT the easiest to inflate...especially if you're by yourself) Unfortunately, I've yet to come across plans for them ...

Re: Greetings...from SkyWalker (Neenah, WI)

hi Al, Yeah...I made it home from Clear Lake ok. That handfull of NoDoz made all the difference  No blizzard to drive through this year, so I made pretty good time...arriving home around 1:30AM. Even managed to get a couple hrs sleep before having to head off to work that morning (loooong day...
