Re: Anyone in there?

I have the symphony 1.3 , a snapshot 2.5 (favorite) and a tensor 5.0. The snapshot is the smallest convertBle 2-4 line control. He Nair feels like you tied it to a passing car, but still makes me smile every time I enter the window!

Re: Kite Retreat 2014, Sept 27-28

Just in case anyone is interested, the campground still has openings. It's only about a five minut walk down to the beach. I got lot 24 for me and the wife. Sure would enjoy some fellow kiters if anyone camps. Looking forward to it.

Re: Modern day sewing machines

Thanks Tom, my desire at the moment is experimentation with some custom tails, and learning some of the technics. Maybe some repair, and possibly then an actual kite. Pointers or other flat designs. If this works well I would invest in something better. A lot of helpfull info!

Modern day sewing machines

Are there any sewing machines sold today that make good kite sewing machines? Found a new singer that does all the basic stitch patterns required and will stitch the heavier fabrics and such. Looking to do some tails as a first project, but Leary of used machines on Craig list or eBay that cost $1, ...

Re: First KAP

if you have the wifi adapter for the gopro, you can view the shots and video as well as control all features of the camera. I used mine at grand haven for the first time and worked really well. Plus you don't have to delete all the photos that are duplicates.

Mark, where did you acquire such a beautiful kite? I myself am in the market for a vent after flying Steve's last weekend.

Re: Sand Anchor question

I use sand anchors all the time as 80 percent of my flying is in sand. I have all three sizes, the 24x24, 36x36, and gomberg 48x48". I find the 24" work great for small SLK stuff and the 36" work good for kites up to about 12'. The 48" square is used for the monsters and I have s...

Kite has been located. Still searching for 120' line set. I think the talent Steve instilled in that kite was why it flew so well. I was merely a passenger.

Re: Greetings from St. Charles, Illinois

My first flight on triggers quad hooked me. Brought me to the dark side, wondering how many I would need. Vent , non vent, SLE, B2. It's madness, addiction, greed, al rolled into one. I was a simple slk'er converted to duals and quads and I can't stop. My name is Dennis, and I'm a kitoholic.
